Javier Villanueva-Valle

Researcher in Behavioral Neuroscience and PhD in Psychology from UNAM. I study what emotions say without words. Drawing on neuroscience, ethology, and data science, I investigate what lies beneath the surface of emotional expression.

My goal: to turn scientific measurement into a tool that honors human complexity rather than flattening it. For instance, when I analyze a person's voice, I don't reduce their emotion to a single label — I map the tension between what they say and what they express, within the context of mental health.
